Pet Wellness Direct unveils plant-based fla and tick solutions for dogs

All-natural ingredients kill flas, ticks, and other insects while promoting a soft, lustrous coat

Pet Wellness Direct—a California-based pet wellness company—has released 2 new safe, all-natural anti-pest products that effectively kill flies, ticks, and other insects on contact.

“So many over-the-counter flea treatments contain pesticides and toxic chemicals that can be harmful to your dog (and to you) – especially during flea season when pet owners are often compelled to give repeated treatments to eliminate stubborn infestations,” expressed Russ Kamalski, Pet Wellness direct co-CEO, in a company release.1

“But the more often you expose your dog to potentially dangerous chemicals, the greater risk to its wellbeing. We wanted to give dog owners a veterinary-strength non-toxic alternative that they could use regularly all year round to kill and repel flies and other insects without posing any sort of threat to their pet’s health,” he added.

According to the release,1 PROTECT Dog Shampoo and PROTECT Home + Pet Spray are both made of plant-based ingredients, containing cedar oil, rosemary oil, lemongrass oil, coconut oil, and aloe. Kamalski explained that the proprietary formula kills pests while also soothing and conditioning the pet’s skin and fur for a soft, shiny coat. Plus, it leaves a pleasant scent around the home.

What’s more, the anti-flea products do not include any harsh soaps or detergents and are safe for use on pets, furniture, carpets, and bedding throughout the year.

“Most pet owners don’t realize that flas aren’t just a hot-weather problem.” Flea eggs can lie dormant in your carpets and on your furniture and blankets for months. All they need is some warmth to hatch – then the cycle starts all over again,” he added. “Pet owners can use it all year long for happy, shiny, great-smelling dogs.”

VetSmart Formulas PROTECT Dog Shampoo and Home + Pet Spray are available exclusively online at the Pet Wellness Direct website or Amazon.
